'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' is...... SMASHING!!!!! Haha.. I'm referring to the movie, that is.. And can you tell that this post isn't going to be a long review of the movie? On the contrary, when I use a relatively unique word like 'smashing' to describe a movie, it is to make up for my laziness to write a longer and more comprehensive review.. Yet I still hope to instill some excitement, thus, lazy as I may be, I try to think of different, bombastic descriptive words each time.. Lol.. Still, they are mostly just one-word descriptions.. :P

Anyway, I just recommend this movie! Never appreciated the pure magic in Harry Potter properly before.. I mean.. The previous Harry Potter movies, I just watch them and then am done with them.. One can't expect these things to last.. They don't even exist in real life.. But now that I am into the making of movies.. I want to start looking into the possibilities of making such fantastic fantasy last.. Even if they don't exist physically in real life.. But the effect of witnessing such fantasy can last.. It can cause feelings and the imagination to soar.. I think it would be nice to make a movie that can help movie-goers relieve and release themselves, even if only for a couple of hours, in the space of the cinema. One of the good things about watching a movie in a cinema is because the world you know and the life you know is shut out for those couple of hours, as you watch the movie in the exclusive cinema space.

I wonder why people have to watch movies and sort of be done with them right away. Then it's like going to watch movies is not even important to them.. It doesn't matter to them what kind of movie they choose to watch.. We're not exactly selective about the movies we watch around here, are we? Plus if it's a blockbuster that's widely advertised, and then gets lots of people talking about all that promotion, then it'll be the obvious choice of movie for the day. Are most people watching movies just because it gives us something to do on a date outside? When people ask for ideas about an ideal date, and there are answers like a romantic dinner, then a movie (oh and, probably a stroll along the beach too), I'm sorry but I can't help but want to wail, "BORING! Why is it all the same" I am a movie buff of course, but I don't necessarily have to watch a movie on every date.. But just to clear things up, a movie is perfectly fine for an occasional get-together with friends ^^

But, of course I understand that not everybody would not be as enthu/siao as me to want to have a better appreciation of movies.. Haiz.. But then, it's one's own money one forks out to pay for the movie ticket.. Can at least be more discerning or not? XP

Haha.. Starting this post with talk about Harry Potter has managed to turn into social commentary again.. Pardon meeee.. Not.. Haha whatever lar, forget that! Hmm, so I recommend this latest installment of the Harry Potter series.. Love the new characters.. Cho Chang is boring.. There's this new female student with long bleached hair (hmm I thought of its likeness to Draco Malfoy's hair), a fair and fairytale-like character.. Somewhat dreamy, imaginative yet not silly or whatsoever.. But rather, maintains her identity with a certain calm.. I like this character! Her name is Luna Lovegood.. And if you have already watched the movie, you know that black witch who *SPOILER ALERT!* killed Sirius Black? She's the wife of Tim Burton! Goth girl married to director of goth cartoons.. Quite a pair huh? She dresses strangely in real life too.. Haha.. Interesting though! So very curious..=P

The battle scenes are good; the one between Dumbledore and Voldemort is stylish enough. And this time, there are a few lines that were pretty well spoken, applicable to real life sort of. But I guess no movie is completely unrelated to real life, because the ideas still need to be concerned with real life and real times otherwise it'll be quite pointless. Yet this Harry Potter movie did not have messages that just glorifies the good over evil and paints them to be shining heroes. But the struggle of Harry Potter is shown, and that is more important I think! That's partly why I like Spiderman 2 as well, coz that's the movie where Spiderman starts to fall apart (haha! dun right away label me as sadistic leh) in a very real and human way, but well, he faced up to it didn't he? :D And I liked what I heard about how the concept of Spiderman 3, but too bad I didn't like the way the movie was played out.

The lines I remembered from this Harry Potter movie *SPOILER ALERT!* are about Harry confessing to Sirius Black that he didn't know whether he was turning to the dark side.. Coz he was getting involved with all the bad things, such as his battles with Voldemort.. He said he was becoming so full of anger, what with his constant troubles and nightmarish dreams of Voldemort.. Then Sirius told him that we all have both the good and the bad within us.. And it's not so important who we are, but it matters more who we are not.. Meaning, it matters more that we are not intentionally doing any evil.. Becoming capable of that already signifies all the temptation we have had to resist.. And as hard as that is already, it's a good enough effort then.. Yes, once again.. What matters is that we try.. Though we may not possibly be saints, we can at least try to always be above those who do silly acts to hurt others and such.. And every new day, we wake up and try again huh? ^-^ Oh and can tell the movie producers made an effort to put still more reality into this latest Harry Potter movie, with the scenes of Harry and gang flying on their broomsticks over modern cities.. Can't we have that instead of fighter jets on National Day?? Muahaha~

I'm off! And now I gotta go to sleep as per normal after all that cool tricks and entertainment the world of Harry Potter provided.

How cruel it is.

*lolx*

/ believe in wonderland,
with you in my mind
it's not that hard to believe
i'm in wonderland
and that's where I am
only a place to where we know
and never escape into reality
plunge into a fantasy

just about my love
