Cast of I Not Stupid Too, Shawn Lee and Joshua Ang

I Not Stupid Too/2.. Singapore's very own.. Production of much acclaimed local director Jack Neo.. I had liked Part 1 very much.. But I'll say that after watching I Not Stupid Too, I think that Part 1 is.. Better. Yepp, that's my conclusion.. You shall hear the reasons..=P

Reason (1) The movie has pretty good social commentary like other shows by Jack Neo.. I find that Jack Neo seems to have a lot of views to air, and his movies are his avenue.. Yet, the plot in this movie is not good enough this round to make his views stand out.. The teenage boys in the movie do not come from happy families, and often get into trouble.. But I think there were far too many trips made to the principal's office and the police station.. It's like scene after scene, the boys get into trouble, then out of trouble then the cycle repeats..

The newspapers was right to say that this movie has lots of melodrama too.. This is one of the biggest faults of this movie.. It seems like parts e.g. where Cheng Cai's father died, were filmed simply to make the audience feel moved and cry.. But I wld think that such parts are actually unneccessary.. It's becoming too common to see in shows, characters learning abt some truths only when another character is abt to die.. In general, I get the feeling that the plot is quite slipshod, and was created to simply fit in the social commentary.. I do think the commentary is impt, and it's what many ppl pay attention to in Jack Neo's movies rite.. Since ppl have said they feel he has voiced out some of their exact sentiments.. Yet the plot is not so satisfactory this time, such that the commentary also doesn't really make a great impression..

Reason (2) Quite a number of issues were touched on in the show.. Family, juvenile crime, education etc.. Seems a bit too much.. And intially I thought there wld be a gd deal of focus on the urge of teens turn to crime when they come from broken families.. Touching on too many issues doesn't bring out 1 strong final message, mithinks..

These are my basic reasons lo.. The main fault lies with the plot then.. Which is a real impt component of a movie rite.. Hai.. But the two teen boy actors, Shawn and Joshua, as well as Huang Yi Liang and Jack Neo himself, did give relatively gd performances la.. I read in the news this Joshua guy is actually not gonna attend JC, but wants to pursue a career in music instead.. Apparently he plays the piano very well.. Pretty cool right.. To be so sure which path he wants to take, and then bravely go ahead with it though it may present risks..

One other thing is that my father was just looking at photos taken of him at work.. And he was saying to me, "Steady ah?" Haha.. My dad speaking teenage lingo..=X The movie showed the father trying to speak teenage lingo to his son too mah, and he had ended up doing quite a horrible job ;P Aiya, you have to watch e show then this post will be clearer to u! When I review movies, I'm not quite able to take ppl who have not watched e show into consideration.. Coz that wld require me to type out so many more details.. Hehe

Thus, I din enjoy e movie that much.. But I continue to hold I Not Stupid Part 1 in high regard.. I watched that on a tv screen and was more touched, than when watching Part 2 in the movie theatre today.. Hehe yeahh.. Will Jack Neo be able to churn out more and better ideas for a long time to come? Perhaps I shld be his next muse? Lolx.. So Lame.

Hmm.. But I think I may wanna try and join his J Team Productions crew as an 'apprentice' after the 'A's.. Ahaha.. After the 'A's, after the 'A's.. I keep mentioning that w/o thinking abt the studying that has to come before.. Hahhh.. Sighz

write about yourself here like how you lived through a crisis like the morrocian crisis. erps, have you studied about that before and about your test, how easy it is and how much confidence you have to pass and get all A1s for all subjects, add in your own wish here, and what you would do if target is not reached, like slash your wrist, eat many many painkiller pills at one shot and die. lol it's suicidal thoughts. stay away from that. but you need to enter a reality, everyone's doing that- it's the trend, so why not follow it. unless you want to be an odd one out. cause slashing wrist is soo common in girls school not in boys school. boys suicide, just like die gracefully from 30th storey, just look on the bright side, maybe you have lived in a lie too long and so you have found out the turth now, just think. optimist wins. you have entered into a world of reality



We know life's hard, truth is hard, lies are hard, they are all hard to accept when they have been found out, and i'm rushing history homework on the Abyissian Crisis about Italy and Abyssia going into war and that the League Of Nations cannot stop this from happening, and beacuse they are formed by means to stop war and peace-keep the countries together, they have thus failed to achieve that. I think i tend to hold a class for history instead of telling you about me, i'm basically a what subject-realted lover (humanities) and thus I am more analytical and critical about things, and likes to study about dead people, haha. lol. it's history what can you expect and also geography, it amazes me. I really like it alot, so what have you? Again to find this answer you need to enter into your own reality and reflect




it's amazing. amzing how people change the way of things, like how I used to hate outdoors in Band felt it was a complete waste of time, i've acquired to like it more, i guess people change, their thereotical means and applications in life just goes on into a new direction, and see things in another perspective, i guess- it's all in the mind. It really amazes me how these comes into action, from someone so pessimistic has changed his own view of things, and thus my friend is scoring much better, being more optimisitc and not think of his old way of suicidal thoughts, which are pretty daunting. and thus we need to see things, in another light, another perspective and another new way, to enable us to open up our minds, and make more new things, the new way it is. done with the old back with the new
