Ok.. A random urge has taken over me again.. I'm gonna write a short story! Hahaz~ This will be a romance story, and I think it'll end in a couple of chapters.. Juz feel like it.. Been some time I haven't written fanfiction.. Shall write this to satisfy e urge and then perhaps it'll be time for me to cut down on blogging okie? I shall cast Jay and Lara to be the main characters! They sang a duet together, and the song shld be playing nw.. For e female chr, I juz need to fit in a face and Lara's pretty so she'll do lar..^^ And as for casting Jay, there's no question abt it.. Haha so on with da story!

-- Chapter 1 --
*{{ Lara's POV }}*
I woke up in total darkness.
Although I saw nothing before me, I could sense that I was indeed conscious.
Faint sounds in the distance reached my ears, and I asked myself the inevitable question:
Where was I?
As I felt around with my hands, all I could be sure of was that I was now lying on a bed. Yet other than that, I couldn't even recall how I had ended up here. And this fact was starting to scare me...
I pulled myself up into a sitting position and turned my head in different directions, trying to get my eyes to focus on something.
But nothing I did worked... The darkness remained and it was getting more foreboding every minute...
*{{ Jay's POV }}*
I walked up the hospital corridor, only to see through a gap made by the slightly ajar door, that she was crumpling the edges of the blanket spread over her legs, in tightened fists..
What should I do? My mind clouded with uncertainty, and I found that my eyebrows were knitted due to worry.
However, I did not ponder long because it soon became quite clear what I had to do, or instead what I was not willing to do. And that was to leave her on her own...
So my feet took me right up to the door of the hospital ward, and I pushed at it...
The girl in the ward turned somewhat in my direction, her straight shoulder-length hair swaying then lining her face neatly when she ceased to turn.
" Who's that? " She called out doubtfully, sounding afraid to find out as much as she did want to know. " But first.. Can you help me turn on the light please? "
I felt my heart sinking.. What was I to say..
The girl filled in the silence I was maintaining.. " Is something wrong? "
" ..I-I don't know how to put it.. " I said, softening my voice towards the end of my sentence. I hated not knowing how to phrase my words, like how I hated what she would soon have to find out..
" I'm sorry.. " Was all I could manage, in a pained tone.
The girl froze at my words. " What do you mean.. " She spoke with tortured disbelief.. " Are you saying.. The light is on? "
My inability to answer confirmed her fears, and she couldn't hold back any longer..
" THEN WHY CAN'T I SEE ANYTHING!!! "
She collasped into sobs, and all I could do then, was to take her hand and hold it, for as long as necessary..
