I went to Cineleisure to watch "The Memoirs of A Geisha" today! I'm gonna blog on this fast again ok? It's better than the previous as well as the first movie I've watched this year - In Her Shoes. The film's scenery can easily get a 'pass' mark.. But when compared to the novel, lots of ppl have said the movie doesn't measure up huh? Well.. I think that a movie has a time limit and so it's never easy to measure up to its entire novel.. The scenes chosen enabled me to absorb the general plot well enough, but I'm not the best person to comment on this actually.. Coz I haven't read e book, and only now that my brother has borrowed it, I will be reading it gradually.. Haha ;) All in all, the movie's entertainment level is quite there, there are good performances by the cast in the show, and the the colours are real vivid.. Maybe not yet a must-watch, but a sure can-watch! Hehhh~ And particular thoughts that entered my head while watching e movie are..

[1] In the scene where Sayuri dances solo on stage with the 'snow' blowing around her, the dance looked truly so mad that I thought that her costume's long white sleeves interestingly resembled the sleeves of a strait-jacket.. Haha.. Like a siao woman mah :P:P

[2] Gong Li is really one of the best bitches there is

*Lol* Zhang Ziyi is still good, yet she has taken on a lot of such roles already I think.. Those kind of roles whereby the character has to be brave no matter how hard life is and blah, and having to be count on herself all e time kind of roles.. So maybe that's why this time, her performance did not impact on me that much..

And the colour for her eyes is wrong lah.. The book says they're supposed to be grey.. Yet Zhang Ziyi's character has blue eyes.. Angmoh-ish leh.. But my guess is that they want to have colour contrast.. Blue eyes versus red lips.. Good guess? *raises eyebrows* But love the design of the promotional poster that has been put up in the class =)

Also right, Cineleisure has juz opened this cool place called E2Max, which is a gamer's heaven.. The feel and the design of the place is juz real cool yeah.. Gamers can come together and play computer games as in a cybercafe.. There's one main area, and other rooms which are more private which can take in a few ppl.. The rooms look super futuristic too.. Had a peek into 1 of the rooms, and they're all black and have just the right degree of light such that I felt I was looking into a control base of a space shuttle or sth.. Go there yo! I realize the cinema me and Just watched "Memoirs of A Geisha" in is an e-cinema.. Read abt the opening of electronic cinemas in Cineleisure and we juz so happened to watch the movie in 1 of them.. Only Cinemas 10, 11 and 12 are e-cinemas.. But man, I dunno if there's a difference? Will go find out what is so different abt an e-cinema soon! See ya!

p.s. and I still wish to work in cineleisure man..i'm gonna try again after the 'A's heheh
