This is the third blogskin I've changed to, and I hope this will do. The first one has 2 fat and ugly scrollbars which I tried to remove but cldn't, while the second one has too active content. I haven't exactly changed the proper settings, so consider this blog to be under construction still. ^-^
But here's my entry for today.. I've watched "Shutter"!! I din think it was that scary.. Do you know why? As compared to the mega theatre screen, I watched the movie on my teeny weeny tv set.. Ahaha.. So I'm definitely not more gutsy than anyone else. Futhermore, I lowered the tv volume to below 10..=P=P
But the movie is scary enough alright.. Good job done. But I did have a few private laughs while watching. For example right, rmb the part where the female spirit emerges from the sink? I was thinking to myself then: "Dark Water" has a scene like that too.. Funny that spirits shld come crawling out of sinks or bathtubs.. So their place of haunting is the underground sewage system? Interesting choice of residence.. Lol..
You may have also drawn similarities between "Shutter" and horror movies from all around.. I've already mentioned "Dark Water".. "Ju On" is another, and the similarity is quite obvious - the crawling whatever-you-call-it lah.. Haha.. And one more scene where the female lead, Jane, brings up slit wrists in front of the male lead's face, that's similar to a scene from "Sixth Sense" :D
Also right, I read abt this in the newspapers.. It was an article on the filming of "Shutter", and it was revealed that during the filming of the movie, there were actually -real- spooky happenings. It's like this: The male and female lead were supposed to drive their car past 3 ppl who were supposed to be the ghost in the movie.. So they did and they thought everything was fine.. But later they found out that.. Apparently only 2 out of the 3 had gone out there to stand, but the guy and the girl did see a third figure.. So yeah..
"Dark Water" is still my fav horror movie larh.. If there has to be a fav at all. I'm not so into horror movies, and I had actually watched "Dark Water" in the cinema with both my hands covering my face.. But then I did watch the movie through my fingers lah.. Ridiculous me..^^
Oh last thing, there's gonna be a horror movie fest on channel 8! They're gonna show Tale of Two Sisters, Ju On Prequel, Ju On and one other show.. I've forgotten which. So keep your eyes glued to the tv set.. But maybe that's not such a good idea either, Sadako crawls out of tv screens as you know..*scream..*
